The GI-MAP Stool Test: What Your Gut Is Telling You

The GI-MAP stool test offers a detailed look at the gut microbiome — and because gut health and hormones are closely linked, it often helps explain symptoms that seem unrelated to digestion, from bloating to fatigue to stubborn hormone problems.

What the GI-MAP is

It’s an advanced stool test that uses DNA analysis to identify the bacteria, yeasts, and other organisms living in your gut, along with markers of inflammation and digestion. The sample is collected at home.

Why gut health affects hormones

A specific community of gut bacteria — sometimes called the estrobolome — helps regulate how estrogen is processed and recirculated. When the gut is out of balance, hormone balance and inflammation can suffer too.

What it measures

It assesses the balance of beneficial and unwanted organisms, signs of inflammation, how well you’re digesting and absorbing food, and markers relevant to gut-driven symptoms.

Who it helps

It’s valuable for ongoing bloating, irregular digestion, food sensitivities, fatigue, and hormone symptoms that haven’t responded to other approaches.

From results to plan

Findings guide a targeted gut-restoration plan — diet, specific supports, and lifestyle changes — chosen for what your test actually shows.
